My goals are creating family heirlooms, documenting timeless memories, making you look great. This site has a small sampling of images to give you an idea of my style of photography. I do my best to capture my clients looking their best; the kind of images I want in my own family album. Taking a little extra time getting to know each other helps everyone relax and enjoy the process in my boutique studio or your location. Photographs are made using available light. This gives your portraits a more natural, softer look - different from photographs made in a typical studio with a dozen lights all around you. (More comfortabe for you too.) Your session can be scheduled in my studio, your location or outside using nature or unique architecture as the perfect backdrop. I am flexible and mobile. Relax and enjoy the process.
I love making photographs. I also love looking at photographs in books. Photos are personal; emotional art that is the glue between generations, times, places and social order, yet how often we deny ourselves the value of the stories those photos can tell Long after CDs, iPods and whatever other current technical media are gone, books will still be here. I believe that's where your treasured photographs should be.
